LOVING the IPAD for Bella!!!!!

I received an IPAD for my birthday. And of course I used the excuse that I wanted it for Bella. Well I really wanted it for myself and new Bella would get use out of it.
But can I tell you she is loving it. and her speech therapist , Lisa, who spoke at the conference in Orlando, gave me a list of apps.
WOW can I just say that!!!
She knows so many things that I was unaware of because she can't always say it.
She speaks in 3-4 word sentences. And not always clear to everyone.
But using the touch screen is just amazing. But I have to tell her to tap slowly.
The tracing app is really working for her. She dosn't write, has been tracing letters for years. But using her finger is soooo much easier than a pencil. And she is more focused and less distracted.
She dosn't verbally count to 20 but guess what she knows her numbers even past 20, so who cares if she can't count continuosly to 20.
Also, she dosnt' say her alphabet continuously, but KNOWS every letter in the alphabet. And I have been telling her teachers this since she was 5.
I could go on and on.
When I get home I will post the apps Bella is using now.
And if anyone wants the list just email me.
All I can say is the IPAD is a great resourse for our kids, and technically it does belong to BELLA!!!!

I am truly Blessed!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't blogged in a while. Too much has happened in the last few weeks.
My daughter Gabriella's bird died. My birthday was on Oct. 22, and on Monday Oct. 25, I found out my Dad had died and was dead for almost a week and no one noticed.
My Dad lives in NJ and my sister Jenn just moved down to Florida in July.
We tried to get my Dad down here last October since he retired then. And Jenn was living in NJ at the time and he did't want to leave her.
The guilt of not pressuring him to come and stay with us will always be with me.
And my sister has guilt for leaving NJ and not making him come with her.
I have to say though you truly find out who your friends and family are in a time like this and I am trully greatful for them. And also very  surprised at the people who were not there for us. But I know people have their own lives.
My mother-in-law told me the other day that I have a big heart even though I have sooo much going on in my life I stop what I am doing to be there for others and that I don't get the same in return.
But didn't God teach us to give is better than to receive. so I am not going to stop being who I am, and not pass judgement on others, ( even if others pass judgement on me) that is God's JOB!!!!
So I just want to say, DAD we miss you every day. And I hope you have your cigarettes and liquor in Heaven. LOL
And thank you GOD for the people in my life who were there for Jenn and I in this difficult time.
WE ARE TRULLY BLESSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
